We are proud to say we’ve never had a serious workplace incident thanks to the culture within our workforce which comes from the top.
We provide all equipment and resources necessary to ensure the job is done safely and efficiently. All staff carry VHF radios and hands-free phone kits to ensure the best level of communication and personnel tracking.

We are determined to continually upgrade the fleet to meet cleaner emission standards as improvements are made in the industry. In our T909 Kenworths we run an Adblue system or DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) to help reduce emissions. The T909s all have fuel-efficient SCR engines.

In the office we recycle our ink cartridges and have drastically reduced our paper consumption by implementing the MYOB online accounting system.
On the Merkanooka farm itself, we have been proactive with the continual planting of trees in salt-affected areas to lower the water table, reduce the non-arable salty soil and reduce erosion.
